Programs For Adults and Teachers
Our unique educational programs are available to students of all ages. In addition to working with students K-12, we offer educational experiences for college students, teachers, and a variety of adult groups. As with
Kalmar Nyckel's school-age programs, our educational programs for adults focus primarily on the colonial, commercial, and maritime history of Delaware and the Delaware Valley region. We also offer special "team building" sails for adult and corporate groups, which include lifelong "leadership lessons" from our tall ship captains and crew. Adults are welcome to assist the crew in raising sail, hauling line, and other active experiences. Others may relax and simply enjoy a beautiful day of sailing, watching and learning while listening to brief lectures about aspects of

Our team of educators also provide specialized teacher-training programs in conjunction with the Delaware Department of Education, the Social Studies Coalition of Delaware, and the Delaware Teacher Center.
