Community Programs
The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation offers a broad variety of events and programs for the community throughout each calendar year.
- INKIDS Coalition: Partnership with Riverfront Development Corporation, Delaware Nature Society, Delaware Children’s Museum, Brandywine Zoo, DuPont Environmental Education Center, and the Wilmington Blue Rocks
- Service Learning and Other Special Programs: Delaware Military Academy; Scout Groups and Del-Mar-Va Council; Delaware Adolescent Program; Serviam Girls Academy; Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, University of Delaware
- Wilmington's Pirate Festival
- Make-A-Splash Day: annual event held each spring at John Dickinson Plantation in Dover (sponsored by D.N.R.E.C.)
- Kalmar Nyckel Foundation's LEGO Shipbuilding Day: Annual event, hosted in 2020 by ShopRite.
