COVID-19 Update

The safety of our passengers, staff, and volunteer crew is our top priority. Our programs conform to pertinent government guidelines and the best available public health guidance. Kalmar Nyckel Foundation's current operations are subject to change, based on the city’s and state’s COVID-19 restrictions.

 

Sailing resumes May 1, 2021

Kalmar Nyckel Day Sails and River Cruises start May 1, 2021 and continue through October. Please visit our ship schedule for specific dates and health guidelines which include social distancing, using hand sanitizer, and masks for non-vaccinated people. (as of 5/21/21)

 

Copeland Maritime Center re-opens April 5

We are re-opening with limited hours in April. The maritime center will be open in May and June when the ship is sailing. Please check this site or call to confirm we are open at 302.429.7447 for updates. 


Education: Virtual Field Trips

We are currently booking Virtual Field Trips as well as in-person education sails and field trips on our ship and outdoor shipyard campus. For details please contact: David Livingstone, Assistant Director of Education
